ABOUT MMSSL
League Information
Fast access to the rules people actually look for on game day.
Key 2026 Rules
- 3 team home runs per game, excluding the DHH. All other players’ home runs count toward this limit; additional home runs are outs.
- Each team designates a Designated Home Run Hitter (DHH) before the game. The DHH’s home runs do not count toward the team’s three-home-run limit.
- If the DHH is walked, the team receives one additional home run that does not count toward its limit. This allowance expires when the DHH’s spot in the batting order comes up again.
- All bats must pass bat testing; 240s only.
- Players age 50+ may choose to swing senior bats.
- 1–1 count with no extra foul.
- Players need 16+ regular-season games to be playoff eligible.
- USSSA rules apply unless superseded by MMSSL bylaws.

Bat Testing
MMSSL uses compression testing and league stickers to keep bat standards consistent across the league.
Testing Standard
240 PSICompression Test RequiredAll bats must pass the MMSSL compression tester at 240 psi.
League Sticker RequiredA passing bat receives a league sticker. The sticker must remain on the bat for it to be legal in league play.
Sticker Removed?The bat must be retested before it can be used again.
